React Native Engineer
Bengaluru or remote in India. Build fast, accessible mobile apps for millions of first-time smartphone users, and keep them fast. All open roles
About the Role
You will build mobile apps that millions of people open on crowded trains and slow networks. Most of our users have a phone that cost under ₹15,000; your work has to feel instant on it.
What You'll Do
- Build features in React Native and TypeScript, from the first screen to the release
- Make apps fast: start-up time, list scrolling and offline use are your numbers
- Write tests that catch real bugs, and review your teammates' code kindly
- Work beside designers every day, not after the designs are "done"
What You Bring
- Three or more years of React Native in production, with an app you can show us
- A good understanding of how JavaScript runs on a phone, and how to measure it
- Experience with offline storage, push notifications and payments in India is a plus
What We Offer
- Remote anywhere in India, with a paid trip to the Bengaluru studio every quarter
- A test device budget, so you build on the phones our users actually have
- ₹60,000 a year for courses, books and conferences
- Health cover for you, your partner and your parents
